Chart of account 和问号

Sorry for late reply but I thought the system would send me advice :p. I will follow in English as well, very sorry for that but my Chinese level is really to low for this kind of conversation!
I enclosed a screenshot.
I am on Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64 server, with 5.12/6.0 and Postgresql-8.4.
I have the same problem in Web client, GTK and in PGAdmin when I go inside the table.
Besides, I can perfectly use Chinese input in both server and client (as well Ubuntu).
I thought about pgsql charset but I already have the problem in Ubuntu (see screen shot, similar content in postgres). Btw pg charset is the one preset in setup but I all my databases are created in UTF-8.
Maybe this is a pb of font or system charset? Still very strange as I have Chinese fonts normally installed and all other applications are correct...
I will continue testing...
Thanks for helping! -
I double checked a couple of things which lead me to more questions...
Actually, I am trying to use the official Chinese version in launchpad repository. When I try to access l_10n_chart files in launchpad, whatever the browser, I get the same result:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp-commiter/openobject-addons/stable_5.0-extra-addons/annotate/head%3A/l10n_chart_cn/account_chart.xml
I discovered and download hornERP project and downloaded the chart of account from there and got no problems at all to get correct Chinese hanzi. Thanks HornERP!
So this leads to the following questions:
Does somebody encounter the same problem as me in launchpad with Chinese files? I will report a bug anyway as it seems to me it is.
Is hornERP a response to the lake of Chinese localization in OpenERP or is there more in the scope? As far as I could dig out, there is only a couple of windows version, but no Linux version (not really needed as a copy/paste should be enough to install in my opinion).
How do the project handles constant software patches from main branch and what is the plan for v6.0?
I will try to set it up this morning on my servers and let you know! -
Hi Eric,
I can perfectly understand your Chinese, so probably you could practice your Chinese along the way to solve your Chinese coding problem ; )
The official Chinese accounting module has been long existed with coding issue and it is not updated since tiny 4.x. Don't wast your time on it, it's simply useless.
As you may noticed that some of the community members here initiated the Hornerp project, which is focusing on localizing accounting module and creating an usable Windows installer at the current stage. I didn't follow closely with the project development, but they have been doing great job in generating accounting and taxation reports that adapt to government's regulations.
you can extract accounting and report module from Hornerp or download l10n_chart_cn and base_report_cn module separately here on http://code.google.com/p/openerp-community-addons/downloads/list

All our current localization projects are loosely organized, and have difficulty in sync with the official code development. For the coming V6, we are considering to set up a localization branch on LP and encourage people to contribute directly on it, thus our work will be easily merged into official branch and our efforts won't be diverted. We welcome you on board. -
谢谢你们
我可以联系一下儿我的中文但是很technical的时候肯能不会哈哈
关于服务器我copy/paste addons in my server addons path and i worked as expected! Results are available here:

the connexion is maybe not stable yet this afternoon as I am still struggling here to get IE working through Apache but locally it works quite fine (any suggestion about IE kicked out after login screen correct? no pb with firefox).
@Mrshelly,
谢谢你的建议。我一直用 ssh 以及在 launchpad (IE和firefox)的时候我有问题。不同的中文文件完全没问题。 UTF-8 应该没问题。
@digitalsatori
I am available to help, maybe not in translation but yes in Linux and in other aspects of the project (actually I am more a business/ERP consultant than a IS guy). I have no experience in Chinese accounting but yes in accounting in general: the rest is just a matter of vocabulary and learning specific local rules.
I agree with you: if a fair Chinese localization should exist, it should be in launchpad at the source.
If not you definitely have to struggle with constant sync problems with no recognition from the editor. OpenERP SA are looking for a guy to prospect SE Asia, meaning they are willing to develop the market. In this case, they will be willing to listen to us. Plus, most of the job is done!
I didnot try yet HornERP localization in v6: I already had pb setting up a US one which should be easy. I can try anyway and let you know. Unstable V6 available here:

我很相信openerp在中国有好的将来!
再见

Eric -
for your 'IE kick out' problem, I found on the net the below solution. I hope it is useful.
put the below line in your Virtual Host settingSetEnv proxy-nokeepalive 1
This disables HTTP 1.1 Keepalive for mod_proxy (use this Configuration Line befor the ProxyPass Lines! -
Yes thanks for the tip. It is not only this but it is definitively needed. I am still tweaking my apache but at least needs to have in the SSL virtual server the following lines:
BrowserMatch "MSIE [2-6]" <br /> nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown <br /> downgrade-1.0 force-response-1.0
# MSIE 7 and newer should be able to use keepalive
BrowserMatch "MSIE [7-9]" ssl-unclean-shutdown -
Found it!
Your subdomain name should not contain underscore!
so I change from [检测到链接无效,已移除] to [检测到链接无效,已移除] br />
and this is logical as underscores are illegal in DNS name according to RFC Wink even if tolerated in some companies... Knew it but forgot it...
@owntown:
Yes: I already worked on some full company setups and the website will help me prospect more customers and advertise my activity here in Shanghai, for OpenERP consulting. There is a lot of potential for OpenERP here and Shanghai gives the possibility to spot either Chinese and foreign companies.
